Actually as far as I can tell socialism is thankfully but slowly on the wane in Europe. It's hard for us to tell, because their right is often left of our left, but the trend there seems to be away from a high-tax, paternalistic welfare state. It's just too damn expensive for europeans who are increasingly well off. Saint Thatcher was way ahead of her time. John
