Bill O'Reilly spoke very strongly about this yesterday on his radio show, saying that if the Republicans attack Michelle, they are handing the election to Obama. His basis was that Americans have been sending the message they are tired of all this personal stuff, and they are basically a very "fair" people, who tend to take sides with those they perceive as being ganged up on-- especially a mother with two small children. While a candidate is fair game, a wife isn't unless something extremely damning comes out. And so far all we have is some attitude on Michelle's part and a statement that could be interpreted either negatively or benignly.

Interesting coming from O'Reilly.
