It had better occur before P4 goes above 2.2 GHz, even if it is still on 0.18 micron. The first 0.13u TBreds had better be announced in March (good) or early April. Late April or beyond is bad, IMO. Finally, there are signs that Clawhammer will be released in Q4'02, not Q1'03, since functional silicon on the 0.13u SOI process has been confirmed. Some roadmaps show that at release it will be available at a 3.4 GHz performance level. Since Intel is now not supposed to reach 3 GHz on the P4 until Q1'03, this is the best news of all. Petz
