So JavaScript is 'owned by Netscape'? You can't have it both ways Jim, either its a Netscape proprietary technology (it is) or its an open standard (it isn't). We also implemented Lotus macro compatibility in Excel, and WP compat in Word. Its just compatibility, but not strategic, and customers know this. Customers also know that VBS is Basic at heart, a language which has been in the open public domain for years. We also implemented Netscape HTML hacks in IE3, perhaps you want to claim that Netscape owns HTML as well?
