Thoughts From We The People......

The following quotes reflect exactly my convictions in regard to the Supreme Court, interpreting (amending) the Constitution and patriotism:

(BTW, Article 1, section 2, clause 3 of the Constitution states, in part: "...direct taxes shall be apportioned among the states).

Abraham Lincoln: "If the policy of government upon vital questions is to be irrevocably fixed by the decisions of the Supreme Court...the people cease to be their own rulers,,," (1st Inaugural Address).

Thomas Jefferson: "Federal courts represent the greatest threats to American liberty."

Thomas Jefferson: "It is a misnomer to call a government republican in which a branch of the supreme power [the judiciary] is independent of the nation."

Thomas Jefferson stated: "On every question of Construction (of the Constitution) lets us carry our-selves back to the time when the Constitution was adopted, recollect the spirit manifested in the debates, ... conform to the probable one (meaning) in which it was passed."

Joseph Sobran: "The Constitution didn't 'grow'; it was never supposed to. Written law must be stable, or it isn't law. A government that can change the very meaning of old words is tyrannical.
What really happened fairly recently, in historical terms, is that the courts were taken over by liberal zealots who saw the judiciary as a potential instrument of raw power... By disguising their desires as constitutional mandates, the courts have been able to impose their will on the whole country,..."

Thomas Jefferson: "Resistance to tyrants is obedience to God."

"In the beginning of a change, the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and
scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot." --Mark Twain.

It is the solemn responsibility of all true patriots to study and understand the principles of the Constitution, as originally intended, and to ACT upon them.
