Re: HSY - price of cocoa beans. SSD had a write-up 5/1/2024 about HSY and the reason behind the high cost of cocoa beans. The drought of the last few years, old age of the cocoa trees being less productive than young trees, small farms with low profit margins, lack of profits so not planting new trees to replace the older trees, it would take about 5 years for new trees to become productive. SSD also lowered the div safety score from 93 to 80 at the same time. I opened a position 11/23. It's a half-position and will remain there. Mike
