In 2004 when Bush was asked if he had made any mistakes, he said he couldn't think of any. BUt during his recent trip to Europe he admitted to his mistake in how he approached the war on terrorism.

And McCain, who opposed torture then is now supporting it by opposing the recent Supreme Court decision.

Is this what is called "transformational politics" :-)
