What you say makes a lot of sense, especially about the coming convergence of voice, data, fax and video. What IDT needs, in order to make its VOIP technology emerge as the market leading voice component of this package, is to partner with companies that can deliver a fully integrated high bandwidth package service directly to individuals, especially over the critical "last mile."

I think this is why IDT is now talking to @Home. And with @Home you get the AT&T megabucks and mega-infrastructure connection. Add in market leading software from Microsoft's Internet Access Services and you have a world dominating combination.

With a combination similar to this, IDT need not worry about trying to launch a stand alone Net2Phone, which would be faced with the inevitability within a few months of "zero" voice transmission costs.

Many complicated business models are possible. Out of the swirling chaos of Johnny-come-lately IDT competitors and BB VOIP startups caused by the massive impact of the inflection point marking the transition from PSTN to IP for voice transmissions, order will soon emerge and IDT will be in the middle of the revenue streams. It already is. No wonder the lawyers need a little more time to work out the details of Jona's exit strategy for IDT into this new era. He is following the Barksdale/Clark Netscape model by selling out at the top.

I've been accumulating IDTC since November. Haven't sold a single share. Those who hold tight to their shares will almost certainly prosper.
