Eric, I'm not saying CBM doesn't exist because it does. All I'm saying is that in most cases it isn't profitable for a company, especially a coal company to prospect and drill. I'm not an engineer, and I don't consider myself an expert, but I've been around this stuff all my life. I started working at a mining company when I was 16 (I lied about my age, fed. law required you to be 18) Does that make me an expert? Of course not, but you need to read your link a little closer. The USGS would encourage you to drill for maple syrup if they though you would. Yes in some cases CBM can be successfully extracted from coal beds, but believe me when I say if the choice is between coal and gas, (especially in WVA) then the coal will be mined. Hey, to each his own. I'm not trying to say this company is scamming you, I was simply commenting on the fact that the header is full of crappy info about cost per ton, transportation costs, coal reserve valuation, etc.
Don't shoot the messenger, Please
