I have seen a rumor of AMD raising potentially raising GPU prices.

It was not too long ago with all the gaming crowd was goading the GPU companies into increasing memory sizes and ridiculing low end offerings with 8GB of V-RAM, that they should not even exist.

Now things have turned around quite a bit from that time...

BTW, there was a post somewhere (on Twitter) that the newly announced Steam Machine, with 8GB AMD 7600x equivalent is better than 70% of installed base of computer hardware on Steam Survey. Which is a little surprising to me, but if it is a world-wide figure, it could be.

It also means there is a big potential market for people upgrading their systems, if there is enough reason for them to do so, if there is a compelling game that they want to play, but can't on their current system.
