Hi Howard and Chris, Just watched an episode of Star Trek Voyager called "Year of Hell". Their ship gets attacked repeatedly until they finally have to evacuate in the escape pods. Kinda reminds me of ASND and now WDC. I had to sell my 14k WDC back at 39-5/8 because losses in both WDC and ASND had put me in danger of a margin call. I had bought WDC at 27.5 so I had a profit. Silly me, I thought when ASND was at around 34 "how much lower can it go?" The answer I came up with was "not much". WRONG !! I averaged down on it again and am now holding 12k at 41(down 204k now !!!) I'm now at about break even for the year. My profits from selling INTCW and DELL back in Jan and Feb are what's keeping my head above water at this point. The only reason I'm still holding on to ASND is the new CFO said they are comfortable with est. for this Q and the rest of '98, and the fact that the volume of traffic on UUNET has been increasing by 8-10% per week with no end in sight. I wonder how many people are logging on to the net with all those cheap PC's they're buying ? I keep thinking the worst is over for ASND, but the stock price keeps proving me wrong. The small investors have been the sellers of ASND this week according to a couple of guys on the thread, probably due to margin calls. So it looks like it's just me and "Seven of nine" left on Voyager, and she's spanking my @#$ for buying ASND ! Regards, Lee
