My record wait time for an apparently ordinary trade confirmation is 2 1/2 hours. How in the world could anything (product, service, you name it) be of such low quality? Nothing on a computer takes 2 1/2 hours nowadays. Do they enter fill reports by punch cards, or smoke signals? And does a day go by when they don't post one of those messages like today's? Specifically: Many customers are experiencing access delays this morning. We are aware of the situation and are working to resolve it. If you need to place a trade please use the touch tone telephone system at 1-800-728-8661 or call a broker at 1-800-669-3900 option 1. 730am 3-2-98 I saw a movie called Transylvania 6-5000 back in the 1980s. That's the worst movie I ever saw in my life, but I enjoyed it more than trading with Ameritrade, because it cost me only $4 and took only two hours of my life away from me. Like someone just said, the only thing they have over Datek is option trading. The second Datek gets options, my account at Ameritrade will be closed.
