I have posted before, I have 5 children and they each get their own phone when they turn a teenager, we are up to the limit on Verizon with currently 5 phones on the plan, that is their max. You have to start a brand new plan with them, around $70 per month additional.

I think I have found a very good alternative. My teenage daughters hardly speak on the phone, mostly text so this could be the answer:

virginmobileusa.com

One daughter is over her contract, so I may pull her from the Verizon contract, and start this at only $25 per month, no contract, unlimited web, email, text, and 300 talk minutes.

My son who turns 13 this December could then be added to the Verizon plan for just $10.

In fact if all 7 of us switched, it would be $175 per month, we currently pay $235 for Verizon with 5 phones. I would need to up the minutes on my phone and my wife's........
