The more I think about the news the more I have to agree that it is a huge step forward for IoMega on the way to becoming the next 3.5" disk drive. With full BIOS support and CDROM ubiquitous for software distribution I personally see no need to order a 3.5" disk with my next PC. I would rather have the 100MB ZIP.

It is interesting to note that none of IoMega's fundamentals have changed in a negative way. IOMG's long fall was unjustified. This is still a high growth company with a great product that a thriving marketplace needs. And anyone who owns a PC knows just how big a problem limited storage space is becoming. For example, Monster Truck Madness, a game from Microsoft, takes 100MB for the typical installation. Yes IoMega will periodically suffer a weak quarter due to a struggling European market but long term everything looks just sweet right now.

A great time to buy. Just great.
