Marshall,

Thanks for the interesting response. The intrigue continues..

FWIW-I had a dream last night about the analysts who forescast in error. I had a full head of hair and was reading this on the net:
-------------------------

LEADING ANALYST FIRMS APOLOGIZE AND OFFER COMPENSATION

SANTA CLARA, Calif., March 27, 1997 /PRNewswire/ -- During press activities worldwide, several of the leading firms analyzing S3 incorporated (SIII) issued blanket apologies for their negative ratings of S3 which caused shares to drop and many S3 stockholders, heeding their prognostication, to sell at a loss.

This is in the light of the recent meteoric rise in S3 stock and full market recognition to what many have called a "grossly undervalued" stock.

Along with the apologies, several companies are offering comepsatory gifts to losing S3 stockholders such as tee shirts with a choice of "We Suck," "We Must Have Been Drunk," or "Guess Our Head Was Up Our Hard Drive" in bright red letters under their company logo. Each tee shirt will come with two free E tickets to Disney World. Airfare not included.

----------------------------

Now there's a dream for you. Too bad as they sure love to take credit when they're right. I guess analyst retentive tendencies disappear during REM sleep.

Looking forward to your future posts.

Onward,
George
