Joon W. Kim,

This is a huge piece of news that Iomega really had to have if it hopes to replace the floppy one day. For most computer users, if your hard disk goes, the only way to get the system back up is with the floppy. If you can't boot from the Zip, you always need a floppy drive hanging around. Thus, before this announcement, coexistence was possible, but replacement was not.

I am quite surprised (disappointed) that this hasn't been brought up on this board (to my knowledge). I wonder if there are other roadblocks out there that need to be removed as well?

Rod

Long on IOMG
