I eliminated the red meat, dairy, and other sources of "bad" fats

This is the "mantra" that came out a few decades ago when the "heart diet theory" was pulmigated. Since we had fat and cholesterol in our blood, we should stop eating sat fats and cholesterol. Now pretty well discredited. But not by the National Nutritional board. They are still loading up hospital diets with low fat and sugar.

If stopping sat fats makes you feel better, fine. But there is no real dietary reason not to eat them in moderation. I eat steak; and heavy cream on my oatmeal and in my coffee and shakes instead of milk and coffee creamer mixtures.
