Portfolio Update ...

I have one trade still open from November and that's STX. I will provide the results for November as though STX is now closed.

TOTALS:

18 Winners
12 Losers

Average gain per trade: 8.2%
Average loss per trade: 3.4%

Analysis: As long as you have more winners than losers, and your average gain more than doubles your average loss, you have an effective strategy. No change required at this time with the buy and sell setups.

Highest gainers:

AGEN up 24.0%
EGHT up 15.3%
RRC up 14.7%

Analysis: Each of these trades were bought off of our 3-5 bar reversal set up. Each trade was closed within 3 days, indicating that you can get some very explosive short term trades with our 3-5 bar reversal setup. No change required.

Worst performers:

SYNO down <9.1%>
DNDN down <8.6%>
SNIC down <5.9%>

Analysis: Both SYNO and DNDN gapped down in premarket off earnings announcements. Neither of them offered an opportunity to recoup losses. SNIC was a position I shorted, I was slow to cover, my fault the loss got this big. No change at this time.

Suggested improvements:

I will have to monitor any stocks that go into earnings. If I continue to take larger losses than gainers, I may not own anything going into earnings. If I have more gainers than losers, and the gains are larger than the losses, I will just have to put up with the pain.
