just a quick comment concerning that sorry looking golferball course where the Open was just played ...

good heavens .. when I heard the greens AND the fairways BOTH were made up of bent grass and poa annua I immediately KNEW why it was about a scragglyassed looking track ....

down here .. poa annua (sp) is a WEED .... we kill the dang stuff cause it ain't worth a damn ...
and, there you yankess are mowing it and calling it a green ...
