erita, nearly 21 months young, can now engage in conversation, to the extent she understands complete sentences, and responds in single, two and three words ('good eating', 'dada open door', etc) in chinese or english.
she is wild when with other kids on the beach, fearless in water, and relishes fruit trees (papaya, lemon, banana, lime), living organisms (butterflies, dragon flies, pandas, sea lions, dogs, cats, centipedes, whatever), and books.
the coconut no longer tolerates sitting in mom's lap while mom plays the piano, unless just before she nods off for the night. coconut now insists pounding on the piano keys while sitting on the stoll on her own, and occasionally to stand on stoll so as to reach the score and turn pages she cannot possibly read.
