Buddy, People have tendency not to believe something that has not been proved, but will turn around and believe every aspect of a religion, regardless of which one it is.

Over the centuries, many theories have been cast aside as more information, and scientific research, has come to light. It seems that scientists, even with a believable theory, is not satisfied and keeps on digging for the final truth, while other endeavors are just believed off hand, and certain people are satisfied with an unproven belief.

For many, religion is like a security blanket.
