Just have to post this. There's a guy who posts elsewhere that I get the biggest kick out of. His name is TOTAL21 and he's a close friend. So, this was one of his comments today in response to an old-time investor who's been around the block a few times and is evidently losing his lunch in net stocks: Subject: Re: 86.4% drop since April 4th Date: 10/3/00 10:09 PM Central Daylight Time From: TOTAL21 >>I have never witnessed such a drop in share prices in half a century of investing. I said it for the past five months; this company is in a free fall and I cannot see how it can reverse the slide without demonstrating that it can make money. The burn rate of $54 million a month has to stop first and that doesn't seem to be happning either. Please, no more stupid declarations on what the price will be in the future. << ============= I bet you never witnessed a stock climb like this one did in those 50 years of investing either. Remember the $71 up day? Funny thing about these stocks, the good news is, on the way up, no one knows what they're worth. The bad news is, that on the way down, no one knows what they're worth.
