SCF Global Caching may be superior to AKAM method! Technical talk for the author of "Web Cashing for Dummies" Why? "Akamai, which has a network of 1200 servers in 24 countries". Hey this is 50 servers per country to achieve performance! Mirror image is reporting its proprietary Global Caching system can function with only 1 server per country. In fact they say one SUN (SUNW) 6500 server and Oracle (ORCL) 8i Db can handle all the web traffic in Germany! Is Deutschland that dead? I'm impressed From a logistics, standpoint alone, i wud say that Global Caching may be superior. Right in the middle, perfect!
