John, you raise a good point: Q!'s 10-Q (Q-3) stated the following:

The net proceeds of the [secondary] offering were approximately $1billion. The Company anticipates that the cash and cash equivalents and investments balances of $448 million at June 27, 1999 together with the net proceeds of the offering [that's $1.45 billion, folks], including interest earned thereon, will be used to fund working and fixed capital requirements, financing for customers of its CDMA infrastructure products [per ERICY infra sale agreement] and investment in joint ventures or other companies and other assets to support the growth of its business...

The thread touched on this lightly when the brouhaha surrounding the secondary in part caused this thread to be born. But what would be a good acquisition strategy? Stand pat? Acquire complementary wireless software platform providers? Neopoint?

Comrade in queries, Steven.

PS Isn't it grand that Q! now rounds off its proceeds realized--"proceeds of the offering were approx. $1 billion"? Now that's cool.
