In addition I have not seen any messages on this thread discussing why the local Bells (the gang of 4) decided to go with Alkatel instead of WSTL or AMTX. I suspect there are 2 main reasons: a.Alkatels's capability to fill the large orders due to its size and b.The battle with long distance cos for the long distance revenue
