i tend to think that it would be easier to manipulate a stock with a small float - it's easier to keep an eye on, so to speak. sometimes a large offering does the job and no capital is required. for example, would you buy a small cap stock that doesn't trade much if you knew that there was 150,000 to go $.05 higher up?
