Janice.....

One area the DOJ may be able to get MSFT is on the introduction of MSN, and I am surprised there is little shouting going on about it from Netscape.....here is what happened.

From my personal experience.

I signed up with MSN at least a year ago on a charter membership, price it was $39.95 per year, 3 free hrs. per mo., $2 per after that....well as you can tell by the amount of blabbing I do on SI, I ran up some serious charges for extra hours. As time went on MSN would send email telling about the overwhelming growth of membership causing problems with the billing programs, and when they got it fixed they would bill our credit cards...more time passes and they email again saying...problem still exists but they will spread the billing out over time. (To make the story short) they never get the problem fixed (so they claimed) and wipe the slate clean...not just for me, for everyone, my estimate is two - three million members. Now you will have to talk long and hard to convince me that the largest software company in the world couldn't figure out how to bill and collect. And don't forget IE was introduced by way of MSN.
