Allen, I think most readers here would agree that you are the best poster on SI- thorough, knowledgeable and unselfishly share with all.

Your expertise might have clouded your judgement on WIND, specifically pertaining to the mentality of the average investor. You know WIND but I don't think you can assume that the street shares the same knowledge. As an example, I have read every one of your excellent posts on embedded systems and your analysis. The truth is that it usually takes two or three readings and I have to admit that I don't understand the technical aspects. The average investor is not going to invest in a company as "complicated" as WIND. This is the premise that I base my WIND still being a story stock upon. When you start seeing "WIND Inside" ads, it may be a different story then.

QCOM, on the other hand, is something that most investors understand, or at least think they understand.

Short term, who knows how long and how deep this irrational depression is going to last. Long term, I am counting on both WIND and QCOM for a very comfortable retirement.

Earning season is upon us again. So far, there are no new major warnings that have not been reflected in the market. With the current pessimistic sentiment, I am hoping that the market turnaround is near.

By the way, do you happen to know exactly the rules on the silent period at the end of each quarter when companies cannot commend on earnings? I think it is a ten day period around the end of the qtr. Just want to know when I can stop sweating.
