I remember last July, after iPhone came out, that a gal got a box of computer printout as her bill. She had made a bunch of web instant messages - the kind AT&T didn't charge for so most of the printout was showing each access with $0 charge. She was interviewed later because of the unbelievable size of her bill. She said that she could text much faster on the iPhone than she could on any keyboard phone. I find you just need to get the feel of the correct target area for the keys and just barely graze the screen to get the letters. If I practiced a bit more, I imagine I could get quite quick - but I'm not into texting anyway.
