Sure! It's NO SECRET.

The US Military and State are well aware of these facts... they have referred to it in their briefings... and it's been front page news in the Iraqi newspapers.

(You haven't forgotten, have you Pro, that groups like the Mahdi Army --- largest of the 20 or 30 different Shiite militia groups, and headed by al Sadr --- are one of the key parts of the ruling coalition in Parliament... without their votes the government would fall for lack of a majority.)

You don't imagine that these guys are gonna line up like the Red Coats and say "shoot me, please" do you?

Hell no... they bide their time as long as we can still be useful to them (& to Iran) by killing their Sunni enemies for them. (Though I notice that sometimes al Sadr is conveniently 'visiting' in Iran --- out of our reach --- when ever we seek to 'turn up the heat' on him or his militia... :-)

It all makes a lot of sense... from a Middle Eastern perspective.

OF COURSE they will want to manipulate and use 'Uncle Sucker' for as long as they can... for as long as we are still useful to them.
