Thanx for the link

Interesting. Thinking aloud.... Can you think of other examples of cross marketing that worked? Perhaps the Eddie Bauer Ford Explorer.

Cannondale makes high end bikes. How many people who buy high end bikes would buy them because it had the name of a fashion designer and probably a fancy paint job?

To a biking purist it might seem a little tacky, like having a Coca-Cola mountain bike. I personally would rather of seen Cannondale signing a clothing manufacturing agreement with Hilfiger, where Hilfiger would make the clothes and Cannondale would put its name on them. I would buy Cannondale sportswear. I would not buy a Hilfiger bike. Maybe a clothing agreement is next, that would excite me.
