AVY-From the 5/10 Watch List

AVY-Entered a potential UTAD (upthrust after distribution)during the week of 4/26. A UTAD is a SOW and the subsequent action has confirmed the SOW. The target from the UTAD is $54. Today, AVY traded for the second consecutive day to the downside with an increased spread on higher volume and penetrated the support line at $60 (ice).

The character of this action indicates that this ice level will probably be broken. Taking a position at this moment isn't advised, however, since AVY is in a potential spring position. A SOW and spring are contradictory but in this case the prior action of the SOW had been confirmed by the volume and price action and the potential spring hasn't.

As a result it is expected that a limited rally may take place. As long as this is done with limited spread and reduced volume the opportunity to take or add to current short positions at the LPSY would be a good choice.

If the potential LPSY forms as expected a larger target or count can be made from the LPSY across to the PSY. At that time a better idea of the downside objective can be determined.
