You guys are so stupid it's really pissin me off. Read my post hypester. I never said mm's cn't short a stock. What I said is an individual investor (you or me) can't do it period. That's what I said. Here are the facts, since none of you know what the hell you are talking about. 1. A stock has to be over $5.00 a share to short. 2. The security has to be "borrowable," to short. 3. Your brokerage house has to have the stock in inventory, so that you may be able to borrow the security to short. Sometimes a security sells for over five dollars a share, but the shares are thinly traded and the brokerage is unable to loan them to a client. Langkry and Joe if you don't believe me (and you probably don't since your ego's are both to big to let you admit when you are wrong) Call John Eugster at Bear Stearns (you heard of them right penny people) 1-800-688-2327 ext:3249.
