Is there a way to set up an alarm that will go off when your modem disconnects. I have shot-gun (two modems) often the 2nd one will disconnect and I never know it unless I go and click on the connection icon down in the lower right hand corner. Also the main modem will sometimes disconnect and I don't know it until I click on my next destination.
Another related question. I recently moved and therefore have new telephone numbers (new to me) which are numbers that somebody else probably had for a voice phone. If the operator were trying to verify a busy signal and tapped into my line, would it disconnect my modem?? Hopefully somebody with one of the telephone companies will be able to answer. If not I'll take any guess.
