Hi all; Since winter is fast approaching, and the Taliban are threatening to take us on from the cold Afghan mountains, perhaps we should review the progress that Afghanistan and the Arab nations have made in the Biathlon.

For those who don't follow the more esoteric winter Olympics activities, the Biathlon involves cross country skiing and rifle shooting. One would certainly expect a proud warrior race that expects to successfully defend their snowy mountains to have well prepared themselves by dominating this militaristic sport:

This year's winter Olympics will include a modified biathlon. The team competition will be held at night. It is suggested that competitors bring state of the art infrared vision equipment. Weapons choice will be entirely up to the participants. The U.S. team is expected to bring satellite imaging and close air support.
