One of the issues which led to Pfeiffer's ouster was the revelation that CPQ had in fact stuffed the channel in December 1998 and also factored receivables to make it less obvious in the year end statements - some folks thought it may have been as many as a million units... nearly 4 weeks of product. And the resulting glut of product, and the charges that CPQ had to take to unload it (or take it back) led to the loss in 2Q99. This was widely discussed...

the sequential numbers looked great IMO and are better than I would have expected looking at the IDC numbers.

Once people digest this they will like it.
