I had considered including GQC in my list of stocks last week but figured there was just too much uncertainty.

Last night I watched an episode of Caribbean with Simon Reeve that included a visit to the DR. Reeve doesn't do the usual touristy type of travel shows, so among the things I learned is that they have among the highest traffic accident rates in the world, and the extent to which drug smuggling has taken over the country the last few years. With the crackdown on the land routes through Central America, the DR has been a key staging point for drugs headed to the US and Europe.
