Will goes a long way but would you take on yourself at 25, at your age.now? I know I sure as hell would not! I could have taken 5 or 6 of myself in my condition now at 25 and not got out of breath doing it. Hell I used to do that to 25 years olds then! Nope, a sky marshal has to be a soldier who can take anyone out before they blink their eyes, and without thnking. That energy and belief is the province of young men. If I tried to sign up for the army now I would be laughed at and rightly so. I know people who could have gone through the three attackers in about 3 seconds bare handed, through the cockpit door and the steel bolt and broke the necks of the two pilots before they could move. A man like this is about 210 pounds, 5 foot 10 inches, can press his weight with one hand, has ten years full contact martial arts black belt, as in Judo or Jiu-Jitsu or is golden gloves equivalent. He has to be a crack shot and have a 0.50 second draw from concealed holster. He can generally run ten miles in about one hour. He has to have a raw animal cunning, a killer instinct and a cool mind under stress.. They are around. But they ain't on aircraft today or we would have 20 dead terrorists instead of 4,000 dead civilians. You and I need not apply.
