Mohan: Maneka is a very independent woman, who didn't give a hoot what was expected of her in Indira household and didn't pay obeisance to her Mother-in-Law,- as against the established norms in a typical Indian family, while Sonia, coming from a catholic background took care of the mother-in-law and made pasta for her. I understand that Sanjay and Rajiv were not close to each other. Maneka was not treated well and quit the Indira household, expecting eviction. I personally admire her spunk,chutzpah, and pizzazz. She is probably diametrically opposite to Sonia.
