NEW Products Are the only way any company moves forward. It is self
defeating to achieve identical results with antiquated operations.
So you assign a small amount of "older" less expensive technology
to maintain replacement and box parts inventory. For an expnading
market you must go to the newest, most proven (reliable) process
to produce the "new Improved" product that captures the market.

The new improved..."Tickle me Elmo" is on it's way.....It is already planned to have a short fall of production...(so they say) and the
"snoring" little thing will be in demand for a year...at incredible
prices....but they are hard at work on the new..."Rape me Rodney Doll"
to come out next year....always need new.

When we talk about using the older tech for parts, we are talking about something the competion just broke cheaper.... (amd) Let them
fight, but in order to be prepared for the fight they need the best
available. I could sell 96 Corvette replicas now...but not for the same price as 98s.
