The following uninformed reporting hurts the effort
to provide accurate awareness of the y2k problem.
I think the author is under the impression that the
y2k problem applies only to PCs.

The Age: Simple millennium bug solution claimed
theage.com.au

AN Australian software company claims to have found
a solution to the feared computer "millennium bug".
It will cost just $300.

Bruce Parker, chairman of MFX Research, last week
unveiled a program, Millennium Master, that he
said would find and destroy the millennium bug
with just one computer disc.

Parker said vested interests were trying to
stymie a cheap, simple solution such as his.

"Instead of paying $20,000 a megabyte, this will cost
$2 a megabyte. Instead of taking an average six weeks
to fix a computer system, this will take six seconds,"
he said.

Will Companies waiting for the "silver bullet" be calling?

I understand that FBN is licensing their tool the
"Millennium Master" {;^})
