It is exactly thus that bottoms are made of. I'm not surprised that sentiment
on this thread and others is uniformly bearish. It was just as bullish
when gold was at 380-400. Why is everyone so bearish now that the
VSE index has dropped over 500 points in the last year? Luckily I've been
bearish since then, avoiding all the Bre-x induced fiascos etc. I'm nibbling
on golds now. I'm curious why there was so much buying over the 380
level? "Things" can't change that fast. I think the thing that will turn this
market is the unresolved question of Hong Kong. There must be a lot
of potential buyers there, as a panic in "Red Chips" and a big decline
in real estate ensues - I knew a guy who smuggled gold in Korea in
computer chips - isn't there a lot of pent up demand in China? - and the
flow will be a lot easier to get it in there. Everybody take a valium.
