I'd be curious (and impressed) if anyone, anytime in 2000, predicted NTAP in single-digits in 2001.
I wouldn't be particularly impressed, because there is no way to predict things like that so far out. If someone got it, it would be luck, not astute predictive powers. Similarly, if someone predicted tomorrow's lottery numbers, I wouldn't be particularly impressed, because I'd know it was just a guess. Now if someone had the ability to do that day in and day out, that would be impressive.
As for the post you link to, well, you know what they say about broken clocks. A lot of perma-bears are running around saying "I told you so." But haven't they been saying that since the Naz was below 1,000? Listening to their advice is still terribly unprofitable.
Do you know who Manuel Asensio is? He can predict big stock declines pretty well, but only in obvious scam stocks, not in more "respectable" issues. I really like his attitude and his research. |
