The Judiciarty Committee Democrats-having seen how BADLY they played on TV yesterday-have backed off Roberts. In fact it looks like they sent only Kennedy to attend this morning. And HE acted like he was exhausted, hung over, and had to go to the can in a REAL hurry. The obscene harrassment of Roberts yesterday was reminiscent of the attempted hatchet job on Ollie North, that backfired so badly a few years ago. Note to Ralph Neass: The Thomas/Hill carnival trick was cute, and almost worked. But these guys have become too SENILE to be your main TOOLS anymore. Smilin' Joe and Teddy look like characatures of what's WRONG with our Congress in the 21st century. Lotsa LUCK getting them to be effective against the next 2 Bush nominations...
