I saw it too. It was a good discussion. Tom Friedman let the journalist from Al Ahram have it when the jouralist tried to tell him how the US ignored the opinion of the Arab people. Tom said he knew the opinion of his Arab friends, who in their heart of hearts hoped that America would topple 22 Arab governments, but he didn't trust a single Arab paper, every one an arm of its goverment, to tell him the opinion of the people.

Friedman also characterized the current US debate on Iraq as "deeply unserious" and "a debate between softheads and pigheads"
