It seems like cannondale believes this will bring new customers into its stores. I think for this to happen they would have to produce more lower end bikes. These would probably attract a wider audience. As i implied before, I think a serious biker would not be caught dead on a Hilfiger Bike no matter who made it.

As far as the clothing issue, companies should stick to their core expertise and find partners when wanting to branch into other areas. Cannondale makes bikes, Hilfiger makes clothes. They both are great at what they do. Hilfiger wouldn't want to make bikes...

I also agree with you, it would be nice to see a couple Hilfiger bikes at mens clothing stores (even if for display) or perhaps at some Hilfiger fashion shows.
