Bob: I asked the company about the power usage. Here is what they sent me:

Subject: power

From: irwinds@netcom.com (Dean Irwin)

Dear Mr. Bush:

The power requirements quoted in the spec sheet are for the DK4
development system. This system employs over two megs of video RAM for test and applications development. The high speed ram and associated circuitry are quite power hungry. The liquid crystal display itself uses less than 5mW of power under high refresh rate conditions. Please do not hesitate to call or e-mail if you have additional questions.
Sincerely,
Dean S. Irwin

From the sounds of this, the power usage for the screen is very low and would not require heat sinks or cooling fans. Did I give you their web site before? its: spatialight.com

I would appreciate a good appraisal of this technology as it seems
to offer a much improved display.

Thanks, Lee
