Hi Johnny, Few understand how big their recent entry into memory will be for Cohu. Cohu never entered into memory. Long ago they bought a company called Daymarc who built handlers for AMD.That acquisition fell apart after several years. It appears that HBM requires temperature control? All of this AI is based on innovation within Graphic Processing Modules Units (GPU's). The tests these chips get is so powerful, without cooling they destroy themselves. The higher they perform while being cooled, the higher the price the chip gets. The savings and higher price easily justify the cost of the testing handler equipment. For chip manufacturers, this means a test handler for the GPUs, and a test handler for the HBM, and a chip handler for the combined unit (assuming the memory is stacked on top of the GPU - which is the fastest route for the GPU to use the HMB). As AI chips double every year in production volumes, Cohu is potentially set up for three times the testhandlers than previously experienced. I'm guessing on this, but it looks like to me that Cohu's current test handler for AI chips utilizes the turret test handler in combination with their temperature control handler. Whenever a chip equipment maker can increase their footprint in a fab, it means more new systems and more recurring business - both important business opportunities.
