SORRRYYYY.... Look at demographics... When I go to computer stores all I see is 20-30 something (usually overweight) computer geek males (like myself) getting games like CIV II.

Over at the game-cart section all I see is little kids trying to get mommy or daddy to get the latest nintendo release. YOU MAY NOT have time.. But alot of other people do......<<<<<

Meantime, where were those real grownups we were talking about? As opposed to the guys still getting over their high school experiences? Family men often are found playing video games *with* their family, with two-person handsets, not zoned out hiding somewhere in a game that takes days to play.

Not to say Civ isn't a great title, because it is. But the point is that there is an age frame for strategy games. I used to play 3 day battle of the bulge, etc, on paper boards with all my college age and slightly older friends. We all spent a lot of time with the early video games too. But I wouldn't call us adults at that stage. Adults have responsibilities to others. I bet the 35 year olds have completely different buying characteristics than 24 year olds. Remember these are the 24 year olds in this generation that often are still living at home.

Also, since these are games for the family, the family shops. The father is at work, right? And he doesn't want to bore the kids.

PS: I gave a bunch of holobyte games to a 10 year old girl (I got the employee discount) and her favorite was Civilisation, right after Myst. *Then* mario brothers.
