Tara,
What draws me to GENE is they are one of the elite few companies making money right now. It's a solid base from which to expand, since they don't need to continously dilute shares to stay afloat. Plus genomics is where the major new discoveries will come from (a biotech researcher friend of mine confirmed this huge potential).
ARRS looks like a very speculative stock, and since the trading range is flattish, you need to have faith in their abilities over the long haul. The tech analysis probably won't make you alot of money in the short to mid term.
ARNX looked a little more interesting. Again, all speculation, but they were in late phase II/phaseIII trials on one of their products. Keep your eye on those developments.
I try to keep tech analysis to the bare essentials, but feel like I can read a bullish trend pretty well. Of the 3, GENE looks like it has the volatility to push the price much higher than the others. Combined with the fundamentals, it's my pick of the 3 :->
Check out RZYM if you like to speculate on this category. Looks like a long term winner.

Cheers,

Peter
